Heights Foundation

The focus for outreach at Citizen Heights is to remove limitations that hold our communities and this world back. Whether it’s investing in church plants, partnering in child sponsorship, joining in the fight against human trafficking, or serving the less fortunate in our cities; you have a chance to be part of making a difference around the world through the outreach and missions here. Our Heart for the House offering is an annual, sacrificial offering to the Heights Foundation over and above our tithes and offerings.


Friendship Place

Friendship Place’s mission is to empower people experiencing or at risk of homelessness to attain stable housing and rebuild their lives.

Their vision is a DC region and a nation in which every person has a place to call “home” with the goal to end homelessness in Washington, DC, and to establish a sustainable model which can be replicated across the nation.


TTN Campus Modernization

There are many areas in our historic National Landmark building that are in desperate need of repair and modernization. This year, we’re launching projects to further prepare the generational impact of the buildings God has given us. Community is important to us. And, our buildings are a tool, to build community, and to build people. We’ll always be investing.

Sunday Night Pop-up Experience

One of our initiatives this year is to strategically reach areas of our city, that might be unreachable to one of our campuses. We’re calling it Citizen Heights Sunday Night Pop-Up experience. Imagine a church that says if you won’t come to us, we’ll come to you! This year we’ll be launching Pop-Up Church and taking Church to people who may have never thought about coming to us. By creating a mobile church experience, we can literally carry church into new neighborhoods. Citizen Heights Pop-up will be something we do to bring the presence of Jesus to impact people, serve practically and seed the ground for what God has next.

Little Lights Urban Ministry

An urban ministry empowering underserved and overlooked youth and families in Washington D.C. through practical assistance, holistic ministry, and the love of Christ.

Little Lights provides tutoring programs, mentorship programs, and summer activity programs for children. They also provide life coaching, and career development for adults.


McKenna’s Wagon

As a branch of Martha’s Table, McKenna’s Wagon is a mobile soup kitchen that feeds more than 1200 hungry and homeless people at many locations in Washington, DC.


So Others May Eat

So Others Might Eat is a nonprofit organization which seeks to help deal with poverty in Washington, D.C.. SOME provides food, clothing, and healthcare services to the poor and homeless. In addition, SOME provides job training, counseling, and low-cost housing, and other services to "break the cycle of homelessness".


Toys for Tots

Toys for Tots is a program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve which distributes toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas.


Tenleytown Block Party

We love our city, and we love our neighbors! Every year, Citizen Heights goes all-out to host our community at an epic Block Party at our Tenleytown Campus. We close-off River Road and provide a Sunday afternoon of amazing food, live entertainment, mind-blowing rides and amusements, along with community outreach service projects. All of this fun, is free to the entire community. And, each year the block party gets bigger and better! It’s just our way of showing the generosity of God to our our neighbors and city.

Fairfax Campus Home of Our Own Campaign

A giving initiative positioning our Fairfax Campus for the acquisition of a new dedicated space, all our own.

Operation Gratitude

Operation Gratitude is our way of honoring all branches of the military by sending personalized cards and messages of thanks and hope during the holiday season to those who are serving overseas.

ARC

Association of Related Churches | Established in 2000 with a vision to help people plant strong, life-giving churches. We partner financially, as a church with pioneering passion, to help support churches they assist all over America.


Convoy of Hope

This international organization brings aid and support when natural disasters occur. When the need arises, we connect those who want to partner with this organization to create the greatest impact possible.


A21 Campaign

A21 exists to end human trafficking in the 21st century. We financially and actively partner with this organization to support their work to raise awareness and provide solutions to end human trafficking.


Because We Can Campaign

As a Hillsong Family Church, we’ve been given the opportunity to give strategic support to ministries such as, Vision Love, Preemptive Love, World Vision, Refugee Response and many more life-changing outreaches around the globe.


New Story

We’re excited to announce the addition of New Story as one of our global outreach partners in 2019.

New Story has developed technology in very large 3D printers and are providing 3D printed houses, to entire communities, for those without homes. In less than four years, they’ve built more than 1600 homes across four countries (Haiti, Bolivia, Mexico and El Salvador). This partnership will continue to help us fulfill our mission to practically inspire hope and remove limitations for those in need. “If one of you tells him, "Go in peace; stay warm ...," but does not provide for his physical needs, what good is that?” James 2:16


Samaritan's Purse

Samaritan’s Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. Since 1970, Samaritan’s Purse has helped meet needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God’s love through His Son, Jesus Christ. The organization serves the Church worldwide to promote the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.


Winners with Christ Child Development Center Carrizal Canton, El Salvador

In 2017, Citizen Heights funded the launch of a new Child Development Center in rural El Salvador giving sponsorship and hope to many children and families through Compassion’s programs.


Compassion International

Compassion International is a child-advocacy ministry that pairs compassionate people with those who are suffering from poverty. The ministry releases children from spiritual, economic, social, and physical poverty. The goal is for each child to become a responsible and fulfilled adult.

  • The Heights Foundation is an avenue for every person who calls Citizen Heights HOME to practice the biblical principle of generosity by sowing financial seed into building the church and the lives of individuals, families and their communities both locally and globally.

  • The Heights Foundation exists to repair, restore, rebuild, renovate and renew our church and communities. It is for those who call Citizen Heights home that would love to contribute financially to extend God’s Kingdom in practical ways, making the city livable again, bringing glory to God and helping people.
